Kuster KPG and KTG gauges
Patent US 1837222 A

"You can’t just buy a mechanical gauge, run it in the hole and read it with traditional techniques—it simply won't work at temperatures above 500°F. However, you can get one of the thousands of mechanical gauges, no longer used, have Computatest maintain it, and run it over 700°F for up to fifteen days."
